It is improbable to find an all-round woman,
One who does not base her success or failure,
On another human being needless mention a man,
Hard work and persistence being her virtues,
And Self-reliance the ground she walks on,
She is a spokeswoman within her hamlet,
Applying her tender touch upon her loved ones.
Selflessly she gives without expecting in return,
And her soul dislikes strife upon her home,
Even though being her own- woman,
Decisions made are for the benefit of another,
At the same time selfishly marking her territory,
The African woman toils tirelessly,
For a child to carry in her womb for the muses,
And still perform other duties as wives.
This woman needs not appreciation from her kinsmen,
For she knows her self - worth amidst men,
An outright social giver and best role model,
And it is time societies realize the ordeal,
The African queen goes through every day,
Though, regardless of our incessant ignorance,
She will not seize to show perpetual care across races,
I love my mother Africa,
Home to my ancestors,
And what a great inspiration to the woman of today.
