My Wordsworth Inspiration Dreamer Poem by Emilie Cousins

My Wordsworth Inspiration Dreamer

I gazed up at the moon light sky
I looked but didn’t see
And I never truly realized
What it meant to me

I thought of all the different worlds
That there could possibly be
And then I thought what I could never be taught
That earth was the only one for me

Everything about it
Is totally unique
And the things I take for granted
Are the most antique

Even the earth I stand on now
Has been stood on loads before
And will continue being stood on
For ever and ever more

My impact on the world
May not be noted
But the things I’d do for this world
Shows to it I am devoted

The world will always spin round
No matter how much you don’t want it to
And life will always be unfair
But people have it harder than you

When I’m dead and buried
No-one will remember my name
But so what cause when I die I’ll be up in that very same sky
Watching you all think the same
