My World Lies In Your Heart Poem by Tina Baaklini

My World Lies In Your Heart

My love,

Some people can't buy food
Some can't go to school
Some live in wars
Others play with balls
Some live in oppression
Others enjoy freedom

Yet, the world is good
Some people care
They're like fresh air
A spark of hope
A safeguard rope

My world is good
In your heart it exists
Where my heart beats
Where love I breathe
Where I live in peace

My world is good
You gave it a meaning
In a picture you're the sun shining
You're the blooming nature of spring
Where morning dews sway and sing

The world is really good
When good is sown and reaped
When hate, greed and oppression recede
When love, mercy and compassion exceed
