My Year Book Poem by sam puskar

My Year Book

while laying in bed thinking of my past and things of long ago
i thought of my year book with pictures of Jack, Frank and Joe
wished i would of kept it cause it showed my past
it showed how we dressed the style that did not last
I reminisce about those days the fun that we had
never once, pondering on the bad
I remember walking to school with the gang talking and joking
About the things we done last night but at the clock never looking
all of a sudden every one running school to start
so we also ran and laughed as we always did cause we weren't so smart
We lived in world without peer pressure left to do our thing
But every school day we had to run before the bell would ring
Our life was simple nobody was held in high esteem
we didn't have to be successful to have our parents gleam
The book would show some highlights about the things we done
I loved to look at those pictures slowly, one by one
Most of the class i didn't remember when last i went through the book
but my friends were easy to find, they always had that funny look
Funny now when you stop to think all those memories keep coming back
Wish i had the book, to see again, a picture of Frank, Joe and Jack
