Myself In Your Eyes Poem by Robert Trew

Myself In Your Eyes

Rating: 4.5

I look into your eyes,
Mirrored into my reflection,
A friend for the future,
Like me, used to rejection,

You’re a pretty girl,
I’m a handsome guy,
But others leave us
Always asking why?

When I’m with you,
Our feelings we hide,
But silence is often
A rare comfort to provide,

Others say together,
We would be perfect,
But we always seem to,
Avoid that subject.

When it’s see you later
To leave for a fresh start,
As I think of our time,
Maybe, I touched your heart,
The same way, as you touched mine.
