Mystical Summer Eves Poem by james watkin

Mystical Summer Eves

Clouds, splashed unearthly of
The Elysian-bound sun
Carried off this calm hour
To reverent transfixing.
Subdued, earth's tiger face.
Twilight's robe sneaks up on
All hissing and hurting.

This garden-close imbued
With priestly cell's incense.
What leans blooming, efforms
Nature's kneeling pillow.
Of the Comforter, Peace
Are all baptized. Sermons
Frog's cool coverts hallow.
