Naively Advantaged Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Naively Advantaged

Give me the curiosity of a child
born new…enthusiastically beguiled
with no previous cerebral constraints
full of wonder… with no complaints

To see a world through innocent eyes
filled with glorious gifts… not lies
Focusing on beautiful color and sounds
responding with cooing… never a frown

Intrigued by butterflies as they hover
Smiling with excitement as I discover
the joy of my surroundings as I grow
never too old to be awed by the glow
