Naked Poem by Dan Brown

Naked

This is me,
naked.
Stripped
of all but my name;
a troubled pictureless frame.
Stripped of
clothes; of
clever words; of
shields and walls
behind which I hide.
This is me,
naked -
stripped
even of my pride.
This is me -
the me I want you to see;
bare -
revealing things I wouldn't
dare -
and offering myself
to you.
Every blemish and flaw
that you loved before
and still, in some way, do.
I stand before you -
this is me,
naked.
Beat me; relieve me;
touch me; tease me but please -
please don't leave me.
This is me.
Naked.
