Naked Poem by Doctor Dashaun Snipes

Naked

Rating: 2.0

In the stillness of the night,
I stand before you, stripped bare,
My soul laid open, vulnerable,
Exposed to your piercing stare.

No walls to hide behind,
No masks to shield my fears,
Just raw and unfiltered,
My essence laid bare, my tears.

Naked before your eyes,
I feel the weight of your gaze,
Judgment and acceptance,
Intertwined in a delicate haze.

I am stripped of all pretense,
No armor to protect my heart,
Just the rawness of my being,
Torn apart, falling apart.

But in this vulnerability,
I find a strange kind of peace,
A freedom in surrender,
A release of all that I cease.

For in my nakedness,
I find my truest self,
No need for lies or deception,
Just me, and no one else.

So here I stand before you,
Naked and unafraid,
Embracing my imperfections,
In the light of your love displayed.

For in this moment of truth,
I am free to be me,
Naked and unashamed,
In the arms of eternity.
