Nameover Poem by Ima Ryma

Nameover

Armadillo - small armored one.
This family name does us proud.
More descriptive naming was done
Of other kin in our crowd.
Nine banded, long nosed, naked tailed,
And screaming hairy are well named.
But for my line the name so failed.
We are reclusively ashamed.
My digging claws are awesome, so
Name us by that, but no such luck.
Humans are clueless - doncha know!
And with a clunker, we got stuck.

Many great names could have been used.
'Pink Fairy' - we are not amused.
