in England,

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Horst = eagle's nest; Zweig = twig.
Interestingly, Hitler's Bavarian retreat 'The Eagle's Nest' in Germany is just called das Kehlsteinhaus, the house on Kehlstein Mountain. Kehl is throat and stein is stone.
