Nan Poem by Victoria Aquilina

Nan

Rating: 4.3

You felt alone since you lost your love,
You tried to hide it,
But we could tell,
As every year passed,
You longed for your love,
We could see it,
But you kept going,
You have shown great strength,
through out the years,
Longing for your love,
But not wanting to leave,
For you knew,
You would be missed,
But finally,
The time has come,
For you to leave,
Leave for the heavens,
For they hold what you seek,
Your love awaits,
Reunited once again,
At the pearly gates of heaven.
May you rest in peace.

Dedicated to the memory of Phyllis May Mauldin.
A beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother,
