Native Voices. Poem by Michael Cochrane

Native Voices.

Rating: 5.0

A proud people who suffered greatly.
They walked on moccasins to feel the earth beneath them.
Used the buffalo for everything they needed.
They lived in harmony with nature.
Sang together and spoke of the elders, and the stories of the land.
They had no fences no locks or doors, no lawyers to fleece them.
Freedom and no trespassing signs.

A wonderful depiction of a hard yet fulfilling life. To be attuned to nature is a happy way to live life. I can see their way of life through the great images in this poem.
