Natural Selection Poem by Sally Plumb Plumb

Natural Selection

In your bed,
unwed,
with holier than thou thoughts,
we are, but for the contempt
of others, copulating without concern
of consequence.There is always consequence,
for the mental bond will live, even though
lives seperate. We do do not think or expect
to join always in this natural state of joy.
Like animals we play with our future in advance.
Chance will take
chance.
