Nature's Blip Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Nature's Blip

Winds blew through the autumn leaves
Although the sun was shining
A chill was in the evening air
As daytime was declining.

Then clouds concealed the moon and stars.
Night-time was upon us.
Streets were bare, a storm was nigh.
The outcome was disastrous!

Trees uprooted, roof-tops down
Families torn asunder!
Terror filled each frightened heart
With every clap of thunder.

But dawning soon forgave the storm
As just a passing ship,
And crying leaves, they smiled once more
Disregarding nature's blip.
