Neda Poem by Medea Kali

Neda

No white rose to grace your grave
Not enough tears to abolish the hate

They stand so aloft and haughty
Salvation of Islam in their hand
Waving tyranny to our faces
Preaching, ravishing, killing
In the name of the Almighty Allah

Neda, Neda
All cry out your name in vain
What shame, what cowardice spilled the
Blood of a virgin, a tyrant’s sacrifice
To a god who is surely not Allah
