Neglected Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Neglected

Rating: 4.5

*Died 1918*

Nobody visits his grave
Although he was one of the brave
Who answered the call
And fought in the war
Mothers and children to save.

No-one takes flowers any more
As they did in those days of yore
Carnations are dead
Weeds grow instead
Neglected, as never before.

*Died 1918*
