Nervous Walk Poem by Adeline A Roberts

Nervous Walk

The doors of the elevator opened
Before I stepped out
My eyes feel on his
There were other people in the hall
But he was all I saw
As my feet kept moving
His smile got wider
I felt warm inside for a moment
But my feet kept moving
He said something to me
I replied nervously but softly
And awkwardly, I kept walking
leaving him with that smile on his face
I got to my room
now his smile was on my heart
and on my face
I couldn't erase his happiness from my head
I can still see it
Just like a picture in my mind
