Nests Poem by james watkin

Nests

Wobbly shaped, firm-fixed
Atop windy place
Here's it's classic make;
And trees' commonplace.
Cosy hollowed out
For a homey view
Bird-watcher's, of all
Sizes, striping, hue.

Alarm bells set off
For what dormant still
Is passed by, with more
Shook nerves an anthill;
Boils for hornet's spite
Gabled roof supports
In this upside down
Volcano of sorts.
