Never Again Poem by Kat Smith

Never Again

Rating: 5.0

I reached out.
My fingers tingled with the sensation of something almost new
On the edge of unfamiliar
On the very tip of exciting
But my gut twisted with the cool reality of ‘’being to close’’
And
‘’going too far’’
I refused to let my heart love.
I had fallen so far.
Gotten so low
Last time
And the time before that
No
Never again
I thought
Even now as as my skin set it self on fire
As it burned
As it charred
I thought
‘’never again’’

This is very good Kitty, especially for one so young. Well done.
