Never Again - Poem by Linda Bella Wassermeister

He won't be late
for dinner again.

He'll never lock
his keys in the car.

He'll never forget
their anniversary,
won't leave the
toilet seat up.

He has been cured
of all his foibles
and weaknesses.

Doesn't he look
peaceful there
in that coffin?

Topic(s) of this poem: peace, peaceful

I've read this poem before and now will comment. You write with such good humour but certainly a message is brought forward. In this one....NO ONE is perfect! Love the ending to this tale! (Report)Reply

So true, no living person is perfect, so try to live with and love the person even with their shortcomings while they are here. A 10. (Report)Reply

Death is looked upon as a sad end but it is considered to be a beginning too.
It is also a way to overlook all faults and mistakes one makes in life. It is a time for resting in peace.
A powerful poem told in a very simple way. Thank you Ronnie.....10
