Never Again Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Never Again

Never again

My dear classmates
I seek your forgiveness.

With today's daily life
All scared, penned inside
As being "Quarantined, "
To escape the virus…

"Wash your hands, "
Sounds funny
When doctors insist on
"Try not to touch face…"

Thinking in loneliness
Means fear and dread…

This is one of reasons
To go to racks and shelves
To remove books and notes
And throw them away…

Feel ashamed of myself
When read and encounter
Your names as classmates…

Your writings on papers
Being prose or poems
Speak of your talents
Which now, I remember
But soon will forgot them!

Don't worry, I am fair
Deal with us as if same
Throw yours as do mine
In the bin, the large one
Standing right outside…

May never see your names
Therefore, will forget them.

Forgive me, for God's sake!
