Never Escaping Sorrow Poem by Justin Hendricks

Never Escaping Sorrow

Shallow fear creeps unto me
Cascading shadows once so far
Finally distort the pleasure I seek
My home is empty, dead, and bleak

I sensed a day would come at last
The pain melts into a fragile shaft
Only to recover a long lost past
and destroy everything to come and pass

Hope and dreams wither to tears
realizing Im the only one left here
I'll die as the morning dew arrives
Into the corspe of a thousand knives
