Never Good Enough
she says 'it's okay, I guess.'
but I know that
I could never live up to her expectations
to be 'in'
to be pretty
and cool
to be smart
honor roll student
perfectly refined
controlled
and boring
maybe an accountant
a banker?
but I know different
