Never Lonely Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Never Lonely

The sun was shining so brightly
from skies of deep azure blue.
Roses were crimson and beautiful
as he roamed with his dog - ever true!

Oft' had he longed for a sweet little pet
to make life worth living each day.
And 'throwing the ball' across the lea
was a great doggie game to play.

Friends always smiled politely,
saying 'hello...how do you do'?
Pleasures were rife...no need for a wife
He was one of the regular few.
