Never Lose Faith- Ebola Poem by Jessica Paige Davies

Never Lose Faith- Ebola

Rating: 4.2

What can I say?
I don't understand,
I cannot see,
The word surrounding me.

But I can say one thing,
To those suffering,
From us,
The world.

We might not understand,
The pain you are in,
The agony of losing a loved one,
Their memories embedded within.

It must be hard,
Living with your home on verge of collapse,
But that is why you must stand strong,
To never let this virus relapse.

In all honesty,
This is a true tragedy,
One that should never be reality,
Something only found in stories.

But it's real.
It's scary.
But that is why you must never give up,
Don't let it beat you-become extraordinary.

I know my words may mean nothing,
After all I'm only one human.
I can't feel your pain,
I'm not wonder woman.

But listen to this;
You are not alone,
Never in this fight,
The world united like golden stone.

We all have your backs,
Ready to catch you.
So please don't lose hope,
Promise to fight this through.

I am only one person,
One voice in this vast universe.
Yet I care,
I want to eradicate this curse.

What harsh reality,
Life truly isn't fair.
Why must people suffer?
Why must they face despair?

I can't do anything on my own,
I want to help these people,
From Sierra Lione,
And all around.

You must not succumb to become a victim,
I don't want anyone else to die.
I guess I'm selfish,
But I cannot lie.

So turnaround and take a good look,
See what the globe is facing,
A crisis beyond human comprehension,
A wild fire virus spreading.

So please bring awareness to their pleas,
Please don't ignore them,
Put yourself in their shoes,
Listen to the mayhem.

You are hero's,
Legends I must admit,
This epidemic is just another mountain in life,
So hurry and climb to that beautiful submit.

Ebola?
What more can I say?
I'm back at the beginning,
A start of a new day.
