Never The Same Poem by Miss Tee

Never The Same

Rating: 5.0

Lost a friend not long ago.
A friend like no other;
So sweet, funny and kind.
Lost him due to stupidity,
and unbelievable folly.

If only actions and words can be erased,
deleted and completely replaced.
I am full of regret,
and wish we could both forget
the actions which brought us to this state.

I love this friend,
Who was there when I needed solace,
Offering comfort and all his best.
I don't know how to make this right,
and bring back all our delights.

It's hard for me to call,
and my pride disallows me to crawl...
Will he accept if I say I am sorry? ?
That I never meant to hurt,
or wound him in any way?

I don't know which approach to take
Or how to say that I've made a mistake.
Lost a friend not long ago.
A friend I never meant to make a foe.
I miss him, and everything he was to me.

I am not proud of what has been done,
Or of what I did not have the courage to state.
I am not pleased that I can only regret
That a friendship was destroyed,
ruined, and now is a laying waste.
