Never Told You - Poem by Sunitria Couser

OF ALL THE THINGS I SHOULD HAVE SAID
LOVE YOU WAS THE ONE
I DIDN'T THINK THAT LAST NIGHT WOULD BE THE LAST
DAY I SAW YOUR FACE
AND NOW I THINK OF THAT NIGHT
AND WISH I WOULD HAVE HELD YOU TIGHT
KEPT YOU CLOSE FOR MINUTE LONGER
TOLD YOU THAT I LOVED YOU FOREVER
I SHOULD HAVE KEPT YOU OVER
MADE SURE THAT YOU WAS HOME OK
THE PICTURES OF YOUR FACE
WILL HAUNT ME TO MY LAST DAY
THE SMILE YOU GAVE
THE KISS WE SHARED
THE LOVE WE MADE
BEFORE YOU LEFT ME FOR GOOD
AND ALL I CAN THINK OF WAS
I NEVER SAID I LOVED YOU
NEVER TOLD YOU THE TRUTH
THAT I NOW MUST HOLD
FOREVER IN MY HEART
