New Beginnings Poem by Jarrod Sain

New Beginnings

Rating: 5.0

A new year has come
What great things will it bring
Let's see if I can for tell
But at least one possible thing

My first attempt shall be easy
I dare say should be
For I will get sober
A feat already begun, go me

My next guess a little harder
My own place I will procure
At least a two bedroom
Yes, two bedrooms for sure

Two guesses have passed
Now the third I shall offer
To be the lucky man chosen
To pick up Brax and his mother

Now if guess number three
Goes according to plan
Then guess number four
Shall surely be in hand

Yes, with this new year
New beginnings come to all
But my fourth guess is the one
That I pray for most of all

Would you like to play this game
And try to guess why my heart's a fire
Ok ok, I'll spare the suspense
For to marry Miriam is all I desire

New beginnings for you
New beginnings for me
May the new beginnings you long for
Be the new beginnings you see

'heart's a fire'...how about 'afire'? Brax is a boy, a dog? Ok, maybe Miriam is a woman and Brax is her son. GOOD LUCK! : )

2 BEDROOMS seems extravagant by my standards, but it sounds ok I guess. Brax? Hmm?

If getting 'sober', as in cease being drunk/inebriated, is within your reach, GO FOR IT! ! !
