I look down Lists of Poems new,
Written, submitted on sites by you,
Daily, Hourly, Week by Week,
Expecting Reviews is what Poets seek.
Why do we hope you’ll read our work?
Will you bring praise or from it shirk?
If you don’t like it, what will you say?
Today, or Tomorrow, or each day.
Many’s the time your views are good,
Saying the words we know you should,
But at the times you are unkind,
Remember, Poets have feelings and do mind.
We all do write to express our views,
In Rhymes and Verses and Rhythm too,
Penning our words how we choose,
Descriptive, Pensive, according to the Muse.
Ne’er is the time I shy away,
Leaving my words for another day,
For there’ll be another poem then,
On a subject yet to become my ken.
