Year is how long
Earth takes to move
On its elliptic orbit
Around the sun.

Days weeks and months
And seasons all four
Age adding up by one
Just a routine to follow.

We created calendar
To keep count of time
Year's a milestone in our
Relentless journey of life.

We gather and celebrate
Exchanging good wishes
Making new resolutions
Hoping to accomplish ‘em.

Last year's resolutions
Several remain unfulfilled
We feel a bit satisfied
At least some were met.

New Year welcome to you
Twenty twenty five with high five
From leap year multiple of four
We move to one multiple of five.

Happy New Year to all
Let joy flow in our lives
Let our future be filled
With robust health always.
