New Year Resolution
Many times have I resolved
My many years of breath
To do this and not that
And discover to my chagrin
Doing that and not this
Which vanish like dew in sun.
Yet another chance comes
Unpredictable pregnant woman
To unfold like precious rose
Tempting me to stake my honour
And make amend of old
But my mouth received caution
To please be still.
