New Year's Resolution Poem by Dr Shamim Ali

As the year draws to a close,
And the new year looms, with fresh new clothes,
We make resolutions, with hearts sincere,
To start anew, without any fear.

We vow to lose weight, and get in shape,
To break bad habits, and escape their ape.
We pledge to learn, and grow each day,
And make the most, of every precious day.

We promise to be kind, and spread goodwill,
To lift up others, with our every skill.
We resolve to give, to those in need,
And make a difference, with every good deed.

We pledge to find, our true passion and goal,
And to work towards it, with heart and soul.
We vow to love, with all our might,
And cherish each moment, both day and night.

As we make these resolutions, with joy and hope,
Let us remember, that they are not just a trope.
For they hold the power, to transform our life,
And lead us to a future, free from any strife.

So let us embrace, this new year with zeal,
And let our resolutions, be a driving wheel.
For with hard work, and a steadfast heart,
We can achieve, our dreams, and never be apart.
