Night And Light © Poem by Roann Mendriq

Night And Light ©

Some view the darkness of the night,
with stars reflected in their eyes;
Shadows fail to cause them fright,
as they gaze at heaven's skies.

Yet, some cower in night's thunder,
Hearts atremble, filled with fear,
Lost to them, the mighty wonder,
Raindrops vie with copious tear.

How differently we view the dark,
A morbid cloak, a ghoulish shroud;
Flickering star, a ghostly spark,
Hidden by a sinister cloud.

If only what we see was true,
from another's point of view.
