Night Falls Poem by Driss Ezzireg

Night Falls

Rating: 5.0

Night falls
Dream calls.
Memories
Rush
In.
Catching
With all
Might
Sight
Of flushing
Meadows.

Crystal Laughs
Fall
in
The heart.
So short
The distance
In fields
Of growing
Innocence.

Trouble shoots
Raw roots.
Immediate claim
Of name.
In shade
Of
Wall
Of
Adolescence.

Wisdom sooths
The buoyant
Force
That
Awakens
The urge
For
Insurgency.

Broken
Branches.
Dried tree.
Time
Saws.
With
Unclenched
Claws.
Adulthood.

Age
Old
Aches.
No fakes.
Far life
Near.

Night falls
Blues calls.
