Secrets I have gotten like all.
Like everyone sometimes I fall
And when I'm compelled to the wall
Lies I use, but no surrender!
Secrets I have kept deep,
Wide awake or in mortal sleep
Straight the lane or in sharp steep
Long as I can remember.
My trust I bequeathed to none
Though strong, there, was the yearning
Till you, love, yes you and you alone
Unveiled my secrets all.
Life shone on brighter,
With the heart lighter
And the soul quieter.
