Night In The City Poem by Livi Berglund

Night In The City

Night in the city.
A light wind whistled through the windows,
Cars zipped, fast.
Late in the evening, it was twelve-half past.
Streetlights flickered and cicadas chirped.
Clouds rolled through the starry night-
The moon shined like a large flashlight.
The humid air tickled my nose.
Night in the city.
