Nightingale 's Dulet Poem by AFFAQ NABI

Nightingale 's Dulet

The night has lulled us in her sweet embrace;
Come my love, see the morning star draw near.

Sea breeze now wanders through this place,
And bears the joy of mustard blossoms here.

Come to the orchard, love, take my hand;
Come hither, love, O come, inside the leafy bough.

There flowery lips shed dewdrops over the land,
And sweet morn awakens every bough.

'Jug, jug! ' he calls across the perfumed air;
'Chooc, chooc! ' she answers from the hawthorn tree.

Sing on, sing on! no sweeter song is there,
Then love that greets the dawn in harmony.

They sip the nectar trembling on each bloom,
And bless the dawn with their woodland tune.
