Nighty Night My Creamy Delight Poem by Joshua Mccoy

Nighty Night My Creamy Delight

I try to give you a gift for all the love and joy you have brought to my life

And

She spat in my face by refusing to accept and roasted it over a lighter in front of my caring eyes.

I warmly announce “I love you deeply from the bottom of my heart”

And

She nodded her head and glared at me to shut the hell up because her friends were more important right now.

I bow down on one knee to give you your anniversary present with a thirty thousand dollar bouquet of roses

And

She slapped the entrée of assorted desserts I spent all night to make for her, to the ground then grinded and twisted the bouquet of roses between her coarse hands and threw a heavy right hand to my face to send me to the floor as she scattered my shredded love in petals over me.

I call you on the phone to tell you about the romantic evening I have planned for us tomorrow consisting of a candlelit dinner, followed by passionate dancing in the moonlight next to a sparkling water fountain of two cupid angels kissing, and to end our unforgettable night, a trip to a twenty-four hour full body massage and spa center until sunrise

And

She crudely shot me down with an angry “hell no” because that night was reserved for her weekly girl’s night out and absolutely nothing is more important than her friends, since loved ones come and go but friends last forever.

I approach you with tearful eyes that I don’t feel loved anymore and my heart is about to break from the strain of giving a billion gallons of love to you and not receiving a single ounce back

And

She was too drunk from downing five monsters to care about the pitiful sight before her and hurried past me as I fell to the ground, discarded and utterly defeated.

I feel for you. Women nowadays are so superficial! All they want is men, makeup, hanging around with silly friends... Some of us who look deeper can't do but cry this state of things nowadays.
