Slowly paced on mountain plains.
One step. Two.
Rickety and Wobbly
Stuck in an even mould memory.
I look to the Nile,
Eclipsed in Mississippi.
Wandering in bold shackles
That binds an innocent slave.
Dreaming of freedom
From a six feet deep grave.
Rickety and Wobbly
My black skin doth bleeds.
Spinning immobility,
Dreaming immortality.
Awakened by the crowing
To witness mother nature.
Civil. Civil civilization.
Washed up Barbarians,
Freetown's free Creatures.
One step. Two!
Two steps. Three!
Marching in Unison,
Ansent-mind driven.
Vengeful in chains.
One step. Two!
Two steps. Three! !
We wait. Yes, We!
We march in anticipation
To avenge our condemnation.
One step. Two!
With the black blood still.
Still frozen.
One step. Two!
Two steps. Four! !
Two legs. Four.
Beasts of Carthage.
Egungun's Whalesharks,
Wounded Pride Lions.
Rising in Unison
Dying in unison.
One step. Two!
We charge all through.
Hunger sets in
Blood thirsty, we are.
White prey, far.
White prey in black skin.
White prey with black blood.
Early war wades.
Mountain Lions fight
Black blood spills
Black sons squeal!
Black blood spills
And dead sons speal.
Awakened realisation
War comes soon.
We know how it started.
'One step. Two'.
But a black war's unending.
One step. Two.
Two too soon.
