No Begging Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

No Begging

No begging

Is it not cursed?
That you allow person by force
To beg in street
Even if bodily fit

Why an able body person?
Should extend his hand without any reason
Resort to begging with intentional laziness
And bring so much of helplessness on face

So law has been framed
And people are banned
From begging in public
And become symbolic figure

One should feel from within
What have they tried to win?
Encourage hidden qualities to emerge
And overcome handicap factors in age

It is possible
For all people
To have success as per expectations
And remain contentious

It is duty of each individual
Not to play dual role
Of cheating conscience
And show such negligence

No Begging
