No Drought Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

No Drought

Thank goodness there is not a drought,
As from my Mind, my poems sprout,
Today I’ve written seven more,
Which you might love or adore.

A surfit of words, thoughts and more,
Bring verses and rhymes to the fore,
Written with care, by me ~ a poet
Who for many long years, didn’t know it.

Now I pick up paper and pen,
As the mood takes me, I know not when,
Today I’ve written more than my lot,
As this poem on paper, I do jot.

If ever my Mind does dry up,
What would I do to take up my time?
Would I be alive, and writing still?
Acknowledging HIM and doing HIS Will?

For however many poems I do write,
Whether by Day, whether by Night,
They are all HIS Words, I jot down,
Which HE has put into my Crown.
