No Escape Poem by Tsani Jones

No Escape

Rating: 5.0

I am alone...
The scent of your fresh love lingers
On half strewn clothes,
I am your scarecrow.

Bent on the cross
For you, isolated
With the sad face
And straw hands.

My eyes no longer
See the beautiful visions,
Touch the silk of
Lips I wanted.

Where did you go to hide?

Your touch is a ghost,
With the heart of
Marble adorned with gold
You left in my lap...

I call into nothingness,
Emptiness,
The heat has long dissipated,
But my call for you remains.

An animal hunger, hunting
You in the dark of
The prison cell
I call home.

You don't have to leave.

My hands hurt for you,
With the velvet I wore,
Lace that carressed me,
Yet left me behind and without.

Your eyes glow in my mind
Life in a fire I can't put out.
I can't spit enough,
Not enough water remains.

My soul is aflame,
Somehow you misconstrued,
My passion for lust,
And I'm cut in two.

Just reach out for me, once.

I know you'll return,
But it's so damn easy
To break, to kill
Myself on your best intentions.

We feed on desire like
Wolves on raw meat,
Ripping the flesh, wild
Moans breaking the silence.

Take me into your soul,
Let me burn you like the sun in summer,
The smell of your tingling
Rose-coated, fresh lemon canvas.

Can you call my name?

My heart throws down all defense
Open for your assault,
I hold your hair down in a sweaty fist
Because you won't let me control myself.

But it's you...
When I curl into the corner in my
Broken shell,
You have possessed me.

When the fangs dig deep,
And you arch your back like that
I have lost what I couldn't misplace.
It all belongs to you.

Tomorrow, we'll break each other again.

Maybe tomorrow you'll stay?
