Oceans And Deserts Poem by Tsani Jones

Oceans And Deserts

Rating: 5.0

Let one heart speak to another:
If you were the ocean
And I your desert,
At one point we would meet.

My heart, my love,
I stretch to meet you,
To melt in your sea,
Carressed and bathed in your
Etheral glow.

For surely you know, my jewel,
I thirst for you
I seek you
I yearn as a humble creature to
Delight in the fruit of your touch.

'We are not alike, ' you say.
But we hold hope
We protect a gem, a ruby,
A common treasure.
Let it not be said
We did not unite to share it.

For our love could sparkle;
Our eyes shine like children,
Sweet, enraptured
As the taste of a fruit
Forbidden until we find it.

You could wash the aches
Of one thousand stones
Away from my weary heart,
My light,
As your majesty encompasses
Me at my edge.

Let honey and sweet water
Drip from your lips
To mine.
Let me awake! Make
Me green, fertile, pleasant.

Suffer me to warm
Your waters
With the sandy heat
Of my passion,
Melt the chilling ice of
A heart bound at sea.

I seduce you:
I do this with a soft glow of moonlight
And a clear sky of hope,
My tears travel to your
Ocean of life, and are
Made whole.

So if you would be my ocean,
And I your desert,
Feed me with your love
And make me bloom.
