(It's now a barren place
Where nothing ever grows -
No flowers can be seen
There's just a wilted rose) .
(The lilies walked away
Upon their jaded stems -
With borders now bereft
Of Mother Nature's gems) .
Oh gone now all the splendour, which
was there to full behold -
The love and care which tended it
Became worn out and cold.
The rose, the rose, was beautiful
Full bloomed and scented sweet -
But time took all her petals, which
Lie dead about my feet.
And thus no bees will visit her
To sip her nectar pure
So sadly she just bows her head -
Her crown, she wears no more.
No flowers in the garden, such
A soulless thing to see -
To fill her with undying love
Is charged to you and me.
This garden beckons all of us
To plant, to grow and tend
To each and every single bloom
Her heart to gently mend.
(Somewhere lies a garden
Where precious blooms are grown
Nurtured with devotion
With love, sweet love there sewn) .
(Lovely, lovely garden
Awaits somewhere for me
Where all the world is welcome
To live, to love, to be) .
