No Greater Teacher Poem by Francis Duggan

No Greater Teacher

I may be in my early seventies but I learn of life every day
And of life we never stop learning we learn as we live true to say
Life for us does have many lessons and it is humbling for to realize
That despite our accumulated knowledge we know little and this should not be a surprise
Life she is our greatest teacher of this there is little doubt
Everyday new lessons to learn this is what life is about
Life our greatest source of knowledge no book with it for to compare
Yes life is the great educator of this everyone is aware
Those who are poor and doing it tough the praises of life never sing
But thanks to life that they are living and life does not owe us a thing
Everyday of my existence from life I learn something new
Life is the World's greatest teacher and great teachers not in the few
From life we never stop learning from the day we are born until the day we die
Than her there is no greater teacher to say otherwise would be a lie.
