No Hate - Poem by Sarrah Ibrahim

It's not personal
Didn't mean to be rude
That smile meant ever so much more
More than I can ever explain
Daydreaming I was
So lost oh yeah
Invisible I thought
Not rudeness I swear
Just taken by surprise oh believe
Wish I could let you knoOw
Just how much you made my day
Oh so
Owe you so much than you could ever know
For a smile so bewitching
Could not help but stop pretending
Smile through the unshed tears
No don't fret
It's from the heart
Swear
No I can't forget my sorrow
For it'll always follow
Today that joy in your face I shall borrow
For better for worse
Wonder of all wonders
I thank you for reminding me
It gets better
