No Lies Poem by Sandra Osborne

No Lies

There's always a sin,
Yes, the one or the other,
Either “I want it now”,
Or it must be my brother.

Either 'I am the master'
So I must take control.
Or 'I must tell these lies',
Or I'll never grow old.

But the truth is that lying,
Has no faith in the Lord.
And there's really no lying,
That we can afford.

Cause lying is slapping
God square in the face,
No trust in his love,
No trust in his grace.

No belief in his son,
Not his love nor his pain,
No trust in his word,
No fear of the flame.

So all I can say,
To get past the sin,
Is you have to believe,
You have to give in.

Cause it’s his will, not ours;
And here do not pause,
He loves us much more,
Than our sins or his law.

So knell down on your knees,
And you'll hear the good news:
Christ died for our sins,
And he died for yours too.

Then by loving the Lord,
He will promise you home,
Then you'll never be lost,
Never be all alone.
