No Light In The Cages Poem by Ayni Poet

No Light In The Cages

At the gate of the mountain temple,
Many gather to meet the Master,
And ask for freedom and buddhahood
As if he sells oneness, bliss or peace.

They struggle for the first row and
To touch his robe they follow him around blindly,
Whatever it would take to quit their cages
And live empty and satisfied.

But all their efforts are in vain,
The Master hasn't uttered a single word,
He noticed their pain and offers no cure
For he knows: there are no prisoners,
Everything is free, still and formless.
