No More Games Poem by Jessica Gabanyic

No More Games

You roll your eyes at me,
Like I’m not good enough,
When have I been good enough for you?
You look down to me,
As if I’m below you,
When have I ever been to your level?

You make it seem so easy,
To stand up straight and walk away,
When has it ever been easy for me?
You look at me with disappointment,
When have I ever made you proud?

You think it’s all a disaster,
The way I live my life,
When has it ever gone right?
It’s all about you,
When has it been about me?

You think it’s easy,
To stop and walk away,
From the problems that I face,
When has it ever been done like that?
You think that because ‘I say
You must do, ’
But when you say
‘Do what I say not as I do’
I feel it’s a hoax and not a lesson,

Your contradiction is like a circle,
It has no end,
But when I do as you say and not as you do,
You say ‘you got it all wrong’
By then I have had enough of the games,
By then I scream ‘Make up your Damn Mind! ’
Because it’s easier to say then do,
